Transparency
Governance, responsibility, and trust
ASCI seeks to build credibility through mission alignment, practical work, thoughtful governance, and transparent communication.
Independence and Governance
Adaptive Solutions Collaborative operates as an independent nonprofit organization. Project selection, mission direction, and organizational priorities are intended to be governed in service of the nonprofit mission and public benefit.
Responsible Technology
ASCI is committed to the ethical and responsible application of advanced technology in humanitarian and public-interest contexts. We believe that technical capability alone is not sufficient; solutions should also be practical, proportionate, understandable, and aligned with human needs.
Donated Tools and Contributed Artifacts
ASCI may receive donated tools, research artifacts, or technical contributions from aligned collaborators. Such contributions are intended to support ASCI’s nonprofit mission and are expected to be evaluated and used in ways consistent with that mission and with appropriate governance.
Segma, LLC., for example, has provided unlimited, free licensing of DEPAS (Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Assessment System) to ASCI for use in supporting its mission.
Aligned Collaborators
ASCI may collaborate with mission-aligned organizations, researchers, technical contributors, and supporters. Collaboration does not, by itself, imply organizational control, exclusive relationship, or deviation from ASCI’s independent nonprofit purpose.
Institutional Trust
We recognize that potential collaborators, donors, and grant reviewers need confidence that ASCI is serious, thoughtful, and trustworthy. This site is one part of that effort. As ASCI grows, this section may expand to include additional governance, reporting, or policy materials.
